Here are some more thoughts on who John Kerry might want to choose as a potential running mate.

• Gumby: Little green slab of clay has “green” associations. Guaranteed to get lefty vote.
• Mike Tyson: Everyone loves a loser. Would provide much need machismo and muscle to Oval Office.
• A Village Idiot: There are only a handful of ‘em left. And politics is the perfect place for them.
• Jesus: Popular choice. But a nasty drunk.
• The Cool High School Kids Who Smoke: Because, they’re so cool.
• Dick Cheney. Kerry was promising something surprising. Well, surprise!
