Mike Erskine-Kellie - Writer/Creator
Mike has written for TV, radio, print and stage. Some of his credits include; the Emmy Award-winning Zoboomafoo (PBS), the Gemini Nominated, Sketchcom (CBC), the CBC Telefest Award winning, Kirby, Cub Courier and the stop-motion short, Jocco and the Man (Comedy Network). He is a recipient of a Harold Greenberg Award; has written humour commentary for CBC's Canada Now; was a script writer for Pucca (Jetix) and created the kids' magic series Spellz (TVO).
A partner in Babble On Communications Inc., Mike has written and/or provided development services for: Kratt Brothers Company, GAPC, Critical Mass, and 9 Story Entertainment. He co-founded the comedy troupe, Serious Comedy for Oxymorons and toured with it throughout North America and Europe.
Susan McLennan - Producer/Writer
A partner in Babble On Communications Inc., Susan provides creative
and/or marketing services to a select roster of clients including
The Kratt Brothers (PBS's Emmy Award-winning Zoboomafoo; National
Geographic Channel's Be The Creature), Kensington Communications
(David Suzuki's The Sacred Balance) and Judy Films (The Nature of
Things: The Value of Life - Aids Revisited). Additionally, she has
developed, written, produced, and executive produced works for Canadian
television, including the documentary, Courage to Dream (Bravo/CBC)
and the television special, On Shaky Ground (BCTV).
Susan began her career as an actor on television (The Commish,
Highlander, Party of Five) and the stage (Children of a Lesser
God, A Little Night Music, and Agnes of God [Agnes]). She was
the recipient of ACTRA's first Joseph Golland Award.
Adrian Truss - The Voice of Avery
With many years of experience performing on Second City stages
in Edmonton, London and Toronto, Adrian has also appeared in episodes
of SCTV and has contributed his directing talents to Second
City shows in London. With Bruce Hunter and David Huband he formed
the infamous improv troupe Illustrated Men who toured across
North America. The troupe also staged a highly acclaimed and successful
production of Waiting For Godot at the Canadian Stage
Theatre.
A leading voice talent in the animation industry, Adrian has created
and performed original roles in the highly popular series Ace
Lightning, Maggie and the Ferocious Beast, Bob and Margaret
and the Emmy Award-winning Rolie Polie Olie.
Brian McPhail - Director/Animator
For The Comedy Network Brian's stop-motion animator and directorial
credits include Combat Snails (Dynomight Cartoons) and Stiffy
the Dead Dog (MTR Entertainment). His short stop-motion animation
film, Down a Dark Chimney aired on CBC's Reflections,
is available on DVD (Slamdance Festival's Tales of Eccentricity)
and toured in short film festivals all across the world, including,
The Bermuda International Film Festival, Flickerfest (Sydney, Australia),
and Zagreb Animation Festival (Croatia).
His short film, Bury Me Happy screened at several international
film festivals, including, The Toronto International Film Festival,
San Diego International Film Festival, Murphy's 43rd Cork Film Festival
(Cork, Ireland), and Buenos Aires Festival Internacional de Cine
Independiente.
